CapitaHub, Capital Tower

Sculpture, Steel, 178x66x1cm , 2012
Artist:  David Gerstein (b.1944), Israel
Location:  CapitaHub, Capital Tower Level 30, Singapore

In this hand-painted laser-cut steel wall sculpture, vibrant and colourful people are juxtaposed with static and somber buildings, with a layering effect that adds much visual interest. There is a clear division between the two subjects: the buildings atop the sea of people. Perhaps it is making a statement that tiny people are the “foundation” of towering buildings?
