Nine Cairnhill

Up Here and There

Sculpture, Hand-cut corten steel, 400x157x126cm , 2012
Artist:  Zadok Ben-David (b.1949), Yemen - United Kingdom

Location:  Nine Cairnhill Level 7, Singapore

The sculpture is made up of humans with butterfly wings, inspired by nature and by its relation to humanity. Butterflies have inspired Zadok's work for more than 20 years, because of their ability to provoke deep feelings of happiness and freedom. When exposed to elements, the corrosion-preventing Corten steel surface changes colour -- an artwork in constant change and progress!
