Shimmering Pearls

Sculpture, Various materials, 500x3900x1800cm
Artist:  Han Sai Por (b.1943), Singapore
Location:  Capital Tower Level 1, Singapore

The only work in Singapore of Han that uses glass as the main medium is Shimmering Pearls. It captures the bubbling movement of water, one of the beautiful phenomena of nature. Glass globes of different sizes interplay with water jets of varied configurations to give a joyous performance. Four of Han’s signature stone drums, cool and understated, sit quietly amid the buzz.
